Natasha on tomorrow’s Bexhill Show

Hello fellow bats,

Just a little message to say that I’m really excited to see those of you who are coming to the Bexhill show tomorrow… and to let you know a little of what will be happening.
It wont be your average Bat For Lashes show…!

We have planned it to be in two halves - the first will be to introduce our new drummer Valentina to you. We will be playing a 45 min set of songs from across both albums, in preparation for our tour with Coldplay in South America next week. All very exciting!

Then we will have a 20 min interval to prepare for a very special and exclusive one off set of songs…I dont want to say too much about it, but it promises to be a very intimate and magical performance….a string quartet and projections by Julia Pott and Robin Bushell being the highlights! Ive been practising this week, and a little nervous but so excited about it. Cant wait to see you!

love natasha xx..x.x….x.x

i saw the gig at bexhill…i dont know what it was but something magical happened when i heard you. you were breathtaking. i couldnt help the tears rolling when i heard wild is the wind…and i wasnt sad. you filled me with such energy and that was how it manifested itself. sounds like a right load of crap im talking. but i’ve never had live music effect me like that - you were amazing, beautiful, heavenly, serene, graceful and i cant wait to see you again. please keep gigging small venues…intimate is better. xx

Well, after taking me 6(!!) hours non-stop to get to Bexhill from Leicester yesterday all I can say is that it was well worth it!! Great gig Natasha and I thought Part2 - the quartet, was fantastic and utterly surprising. Perhaps your third album might include some of those from last night?? See you soon, Steve.
